Calcium and
magnesium concentration in water and total hardness of water quality test kit 【Scope of
Application】
This reagent kit can be widely used for the determination of
calcium concentration/magnesium concentration/total hardness of water in
drinking water, source water, and aquaculture water. 【Measurement Range】 Titration
determination with calcium concentration above 20mg/L, magnesium
concentration above 12mg/L, and total hardness above 50mg/L. 【Calcium
determination】 Take a water sample to a 5mL mark in a test tube, add 3
drops of calcium magnesium reagent (1), shake well, add 1 small spoonful of
calcium magnesium reagent (2), shake well (the water sample turns red at this
time), add calcium magnesium reagent (5) dropwise,
shake while adding, and drop until the water color changes from red to blue.
Record the number of drops of calcium magnesium reagent (5) and set it to A. 【Hardness
Measurement】 Rinse the test tube several times with water sample, then take
the water sample to the 5mL mark, add 3 drops of calcium magnesium reagent
(3), shake well, add 1 small spoonful of calcium magnesium reagent (4), shake
well (at this time, the water sample turns red), add calcium magnesium
reagent (5) to the water sample, shake while adding, and drop until the water
color changes from red to blue. Record the number of drops of calcium
magnesium reagent (5) and set it to B. 【Result Calculation】 Calcium concentration
(mg/L)=A × 20 Magnesium concentration
(mg/L)=(B-A) x 12 Total hardness (measured
in calcium carbonate), Mg/L)=50 × B 【Precautions】 1）This method is a
rapid on-site detection method, and accurate quantification should be based
on the national standard detection method. 2）Once the reagent
splashes into the eyes, rinse with plenty of water. 【Kit Configuration】 5ml/bottle for reagent
1 and 3, 0.5g/bottle for reagent 2 and 4, 10ml/2 bottle for reagent 5, 1
medicine spoon, and 1 test tube. Based on a total hardness of 450mg/L, the
reagent can be used for 22 measurements. Calculated at 200mg/L, it can be
used for 50 measurements. 【Reagent Storage】 Store in a cool, dry
place and out of reach of children.
